Science-based Methods (Archaeology)
Primary tabs
Radiocarbon dating can be carried out using tools such as OxCal (http://c14.arch.ox.ac.uk/embed.php?File=oxcal.html). This is a system for measuring the rate of decay of the radioactive isotope 14C, a naturally occurring ubiquitous entity found in all life-forms that has a half life of around 5730 years. Other forms of scientific-based enquiry include luminescence and uranium series analysis.
