- About me
I work as Programme Co-ordinator of the Digital Humanities Observatory (DHO), based in Dublin, Ireland. Our aim is to educate and inform humanities researchers in Ireland on international developments in the creation, use and preservation of digital resources. We were established under the auspices of the Royal Irish Academy to co-ordinate initiatives in humanities digitisation so that new lines of enquiry developing from the HSIS/DHO infrastructure and research programmes will benefit all humanities researchers in Ireland. My own background is in English literature/Irish cultural history and I completed a PhD on the Irish harp as trope, icon and instrument in 2008. The DHO is very interested in entering into engagement, and exchanging information, with digital humanities communities internationally.
