The text upon an object is both evidence for and part of its form and
therefore its function; just as the construction and purpose of an
object gives context to and aids in the interpretation of text. Indeed,
the form of an object effects the placement and design of text and
decoration upon it. Non-verbal decorations drawn or painted on an object
fall somewhere between (2-D) text and (3-D) physical object: like the

There is to be an exhibition in February 2008 at the Dulwich Gallery based on teh St.Sebastians of Guido Reni.

This is the first upcoming exhibition since I started exploring here with a LGBT frame of reference, so as good a topic for a knowbot as any other.

Recently I spoke at a meeting of the Higher Education Academy on digital literacy, facilitating a workshop, in which I put up a series of posters, about ten, and with the participants worked through them, and captured the sense of the meeting on a method to approach work on digital literacy.
