The initial database was compiled in Filemaker Pro. A detailed description was supplied to the AHDS at an earlier date. The content of the resource is a comprehensive electronic description of the morphosyntax and selected lexico-phonological features of Romani dialects, with around 6000 data fields covering all areas of morphosyntax. The data fields are tagged for various attributes, such as etymology and function. There are over 150 records representing various varieties of Romani; some of the data is based on published sources, the majority is based on the project's own fieldwork.
