Digital Artist Consultant for the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery, Exeter (RAMM)

RAMM wishes to appoint an energetic and highly motivated Digital Artist Consultant to identify a digital artist to work on a commission as part of its redevelopment and as part of New Expressions II programme.

New Expressions II is in its second year of funding, and is a regional programme to create meaningful engagements between contemporary artists, museum collections and audiences.

The Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery (RAMM) is currently undergoing an exciting multi-million pound redevelopment which aims to deliver a dynamic 21st-century museum that interprets the past, enriches the present and responds to the future.

Timetable:
- Dec 2010 – Jan/Feb 2011
Digital Artist Consultant will research digital artists in order to indentify a specific artist for commission
- Jan/Feb 2011
Digital Artist Consultant and RAMM will shortlist, interview and subsequently appoint indentified artist for commission
- Jan/Feb – March/April 2011
Indentified artist will carry out R&D and start planning commission
- Feb – April 2011
Digital Artist Consultant will work with identified artist, RAMM and other visuals arts organisations in Exeter on maintaining cohesion for the project
- April – December 2011
Indentified artist will create work for display in December 2011 as part of RAMM’s opening programme.

Fee:
£3,000 fixed fee (to include travel expenses)
Approx. 15 working days (Dec 2010 - April 2011).
