Purpose: 

SharePoint is a collaboration and content management server, composed of a suite of tools, that enable administrators and users to co-ordinate processes (which may be useful for project management), store digital objects, and collaborate with other parties. Sharepoint offers a set of APIs and modules that may be used and extended to provide new functionality or tailor existing functionality to bespoke requirements.
Sharepoint is commonly used to host collaborative workspaces, data management system, wikis and blogs.

project: Musicians of Britain and Ireland 1900-1950

The project provides recordings of performances by British and Irish musicians made between 1900 and 1950. owing to changes in company policy in the 1930s, their work was gradually excluded and mush of it forgotten. MBI is accessible through an attractive online search interface that also gives access to the complete recorded output of the AHRC Research Centre for the History and Analysis of Recorded Music (CHARM). project: A Vision of Britain through Time

This website presents the history of Great Britain through places between 1801 and 2001. It includes maps, statistical trends, a gazetteer of British administrative units, on-line versions of a selection of tables and early printed text from some of the published Census Reports as well as historical descriptions of places and journeys. project: InView: Moving Images in the Public Sphere

InView is an in-depth resource which shows, through the juxtaposition and contextualisation of a range of materials, how public issues ‘play out’ across the media. A thematic approach illustrates how different producers and distributors of moving image content provide different voices and perspectives within national social, cultural and economic debates. The main objective of the project has been to provide access to 600 hours of digitised archive video, documents and associated resources for the enhancement of learning, teaching and research within the areas of the arts and humanities. project: Cabinet Papers, 1915-1977

The Cabinet Papers Project aimed to provide an online resource for learning and research that would make The National Archives’ holdings of the Cabinet Papers available to the public, and in particular to Higher Education and A-level students. The National Archives is now able to provide an entire collection of searchable digitised images of the Cabinet Papers to users of the site as well as providing relevant information and study guidance for both teachers and students of British 20th century history. project: First World War Poetry Digital Archive

The First World War Poetry Digital Archive is an online repository of over 7000 items of text, images, audio, and video for teaching, learning, and research. The heart of the archive consists of collections of highly valued primary material from major poets of the period, including Wilfred Owen, Isaac Rosenberg, Robert Graves, Vera Brittain, and Edward Thomas. This is supplemented by a comprehensive range of multimedia artefacts from the Imperial War Museum, a separate archive of over 6,500 items contributed by the general public, and a set of specially developed educational resources. An editing tool for web content. Dreamweaver offers a graphics-based (What You See Is What You GET) and code-based user interface for the development of web pages and sites. The tool may be used to simplify the process of web site development (in comparison to creation of individual web pages), through the provision of a templating system that allows single-source update of shared code and layout across entire sites without server-side includes or scripting.
